End of Quarter Number 1

As the heading states, it was finals week last week, which means I get a nice short vacation this week :-) At the end of the first quarter I have (drum roll, please) a 4.0. I'd like to say it's well deserved, but I didn't read most of the stuff I was supposed to. Why do I get so lazy? Anyways, maybe schools should be harder, or have a harder grading scale. I mean, I'm definitely not upset that I started off getting all A's, but what the heck? I think if I get A's it should be a little bit harder and a little bit more work. I should feel good about myself afterwards. Oh well, I'll quit complaining over nonesense.

Sammy and I went outside for a LONG time today. I think I'm just as tired as he is now. He's just so cute though. He'll lay on the blanket and just stare up at the sky, watching the birds and looking up at the trees. It's the only time I can lay him flat on his back without him fussing. It seems to be the only time when he's at peace with the world. And, who can blame him? I feel the same way. Being outside is relaxing and comfortable, and it helps you to realize everything you have to be grateful for. One thing, however, that I'm not extremely grateful for is mosquitos. It would definitely be nice if I could enjoy an afternoon outside without warding off the pesky little blood suckers (not to mention disease carriers).
