You know when there's a certain song you can listen to and it brings back some really great memories? For me, it's My Place, by Nelly. It reminds me of the beginning of Matt's and my relationship.

I can still picture him sitting at the computer at his mom's house in Champlin singing to me. Things were a lot harder back then, a lot more stress and drama to deal with. But when Matt sang this song, nothing else mattered. It was just Matt and I. There wasn't a single person in the whole World that mattered except for us.
It's crazy to think about how long ago that was. It's been over three years! I never thought I could meet someone that was so perfect for me. I had no idea how my life would unravel. I had this picture that I would be going to NHCC and get my Associates and then get a job and Matt and I would probably be living in an apartment together for a few years before we got married and started a family.
It's crazy to think that that's not what happened at all. We're definitely not conventional. It bothers me in some aspects, which he knows, but it shouldn't. Why it bothers me has everything to do with what other people think and what society decides is how things should be, and nothing to do with us as a couple.
The other song he used to sing to me was More than Love by Los Lonely Boys :-) And now, it's Everything by Michael Buble. For such a rough looking guy, he's such a softie!
